Lori A. Trahan

Lori Ann (Garland) Trahan, 67, lifelong resident of South Windsor, loving wife of Joseph A. Trahan died peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. Lori was born in Hartford, CT, on February 2, 1955, daughter of the late Russell L. Garland and Michele (Paul) Backus. She graduated from South Windsor High School with the Class of 1973. Lori worked for Crouse Hinds Arrow-Hart as a systems analyst for 12 years. She became the Assistant Town Clerk in South Windsor in October 1998 and went on to serve as the Town Clerk in South Windsor from January 2010 to December 2019 when she retired. Lori loved spending time with her family in Harwich Port, MA on Cape Cod. Along with her husband of over 50 years, Joe, she leaves her daughter Jaimie Wargo and her husband Gary V. Wargo Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC; her granddaughter, Hannah Wargo of SC; her niece Lianne Joslin of East Hartford; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark Joslin of Glastonbury, Robert Trahan and his wife Robin of Ellington, Theresa Shary and her husband Jim of Windsor, Marie Trahan of Enfield, Gail Banning and her husband Richard of Windham, Marcel Trahan and his wife Bev of Enfield, Patricia Ann Johnston and her husband Paul of East Windsor, and Nancy Carlise and her husband Sandy of NC. She also leaves her faithful companion Maggie. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Lynn Joslin and her nephew, Michael Joslin. Her family will receive friends on Monday, October 3rd, from 4 – 8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 4th, 11 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, 993 Main St., South Windsor. Burial will follow with her family in Center Cemetery in South Windsor.
