Lorinda (Lindy) Lee Evans Jackson, 85, of Liberty City, Tx passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 12, 1940, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Arthur Glen Evans and Ethel Mae Evans. She graduated from East Richland High School in Olney, IL and attended Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, IL. Lorinda married her high school sweetheart, Bennet Allen Lewis Jackson in 1959 and celebrated 44 years of marriage with him, before his passing in 2005. They had four children: Sidney, Bart, Laura, and Luke.
Lorinda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and stay at home mom. She was a lifelong believer in Jesus and took pride in taking care of her family. The love she had for her family was her driving force. Her bond with her only sister was incredibly important to her and brought her strength and joy throughout her life. She was a talented seamstress and known for her amazing meals and delicious desserts. She had a creative talent for home decor and loved going to estate sales and exploring antique stores to find unique pieces to customize.
Lorinda is survived by her children, Sidney Jackson, Bart Jackson, Laura Jackson Stripland (Kelly), and Luke Jackson (Larrissa); six grandchildren, Megan Sanchez (Oscar), Evan Jackson (Brittany), Kane Stripland, Kole Stripland, Kile Stripland, and Jaylee Jackson; two step grandchildren, Dilen Aldridge, and Baylee Aldridge; two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Sanchez, and Zoey Sanchez, sister; Barbara Young; and two nephews; Jeff Young (Pattie) and Tal Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Ethel Evans, husband; Allen Jackson, and brother-in-law; Norman Young.
A graveside service to honor Lorinda will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 3PM at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater, Texas.
