Sam was a frequent visitor to my store. He would walk around for a half an hour to an hour until he found a new Hawkeye item he had to have. In the summer months, he would bring us some tomatoes from his garden. Sam always attended all of our events at the store. The biggest smile I ever saw on his face was after an event that he had gotten to sit with Chuck Long and another player and talked about different games. He was still smiling when came in the next week to pick up a photo of the three of them. Sam we all loved you at Black and Gold ❤
