Lorrain Ruth Steingrueber

Memorial Service for Lorrain Ruth Steingrueber, 93, formerly of Hebron, will be 10:00 am Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Hebron. Burial will take place at a later date.

Lorrain passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at St. Luke's Home, Dickinson.

Lorrain Ruth Riedlinger was born on a farm near Hebron, ND on May 17, 1932, the daughter of Albert and Rosina (Scheuffele) Riedlinger. Growing up she attended country school. Lorrain married Leo C. Steingrueber on October 17, 1952 at St. John United Church of Christ in Hebron. Together they happily raised their four children, Terry, Vicky, Scot and Nancy on their family farm between Hebron and Richardton.

After Leo's passing Lorrain lived with her son Scot until the middle of 2018 and her daughter Nancy until October of 2022 at which time she went into assisted living, due to failing health. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ of Hebron and a member of the Ladies Guild. Lorrain found great pleasure in gardening and crocheting. Her grandchildren were a great joy to her.

Lorrain is survived by her sons, Terry (Darlene) Steingrueber of Richardton, Scot (Sue) Steingrueber of Mandan; daughters, Vicky (Keith) Sass of Florida, Nancy Steingrueber of Dickinson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Sharon Riedlinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; parents, Albert and Rosina Riedlinger; brothers, Roger Riedlinger, Edgar (Caroline) Riedlinger; sister, Selma (August) Schock; infant brother, Galen Riedlinger and one great-grandson.
