Lorraine Margaret Anunson, age 89, of Northport, WI, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. Lorraine was born on September 10, 1933 in the Town of Vinland, to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Nee-Richmond) Abhold. She married Ralph Anunson on March 15, 1952 and together they had two children, Philip and Gerri.
Lorraine worked at King Veterans Home for 30 years until her retirement at age 62. She enjoyed painting, arts & crafts and playing the keyboard, but her favorite past time was teasing people. She was the matriarch of the family and loved nothing more than family time. She formed a special bond with each and every one of her family members. She was very religious and enjoyed learning about all kinds of religions.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Philip (Marcy) Anunson and Gerri Alvarez; grandchildren, Lori Blank, Eric Anunson, Jessica Anunson, Sara (Ben) Anunson, Jennifer (John Lukas) Schneider, Daniel (Amber) Ramos, Felicia Ramos, Bonnie Fielding, Cheri Frenche; great grandchildren, Ashley Blank, Damian Blank, Travis Blank, Preston Anunson, Jordan Anunson, Savannah Schneider, Ashley Schneider, Anthony Anunson, Thomas Schneider, William Schneider, Doshare Anunson, Hannah Anunson, Trinity Ramos, and Reid Ramos. She is further survived by her great-great grandchildren Akaylia Anunson, Novalyn Anunson, Emmett Anunson, Paxton Blank; sisters in-law, Barbara Abhold and Eleanor Anunson.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Abhold; her husband, Ralph; her siblings, Ruth, Clarence, Howard, Edna, Mabel, Marie, Edward, Ervin, Harvey, John, and Gilbert; son in-law, Gonzalo Alvarez.
The funeral service for Lorraine will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 21, 2023 at United Methodist Church in New London, with Pastor Joyce Rich officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00am until the time of service. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester following the service.
The family would like to thank ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their compassion and care given to Lorraine.
