LORRAINE A. (PIERCE) FARRELL, a resident of Swedesburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27th at her residence with her loving family at her side at the age of 74.
Mrs. Farrell, one of eleven children, was born on December 2, 1947 in Swedeland, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Josephine Violet (Opielski) Pierce.
Lorraine was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, an Altar Server, choir member, CCD Teacher, served on the Bereavement Committee, and the Polish Festival Committee. She enjoyed bowling, model airplanes, ceramics, camping, facebook and snap chat.
She was employed as a receptionist for 13 years for Family Practice Associates in King of Prussia retiring in 2014.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years: Carl F. Farrell, Daughter: Colleen Bale and her husband, Mark, Son: Carl Farrell, Jr. and his wife Christina, Grandchildren: Christopher Epps, Chase Epps, Brandon Pearson and Granddaughter-in- Law Kayla and a Sister: Sharon Pierce.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Laura Barainyak, Barbara Booth, Irene Wisniewski, baby Kathleen Pierce, Brothers: Donald Pierce, Joey Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Carl Pierce and Bruce Pierce.
The family will be receiving relative and friends on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Swedesburg. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to either the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, Pa. 19428 or The Temple Lung Center 8815 Germantown Pike, Philadelphia, Pa. 19118.
