Lorraine Jeanette (Ehlers) Hardy was born on July 8, 1955, in Denison, Iowa to Leonard G. and Albertine Jeanette “Jean” Ehlers. She was one of five children. Lorraine attended the Charter Oak-Ute school. On June 1, 1973, she was united in marriage to Robert Hardy and they were blessed with two boys, Gary and Jason. Lorraine was known for her strong work ethic and held multiple jobs throughout her life. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and would do anything for anyone. Most of all, Lorraine was a very loving wife and mother.
Lorraine died on May 6, 2023, in Idaho at the age of 67 years, nine months and 28 days.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Delbert Leonard Ehlers. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Hardy of Pocatello, Idaho; sons, Gary (Lisa) Hardy of Bremerton, Washington and Jason Hardy (Vicky) of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Briana, Kaylie and Quinn; siblings, Shirley (Dave) Nelson of Woodbine, Iowa, Sandra Dickman of Woodbine and Robert (Pam) Ehlers of Dunlap; and many other relatives and friends.
