Lorraine Kay Kindred

Lorraine Kay "Rainey" Kindred passed away June 20, 2024, at the age of 73 in Loveland, Colorado. Born on March 19, 1951 in Coldwater, Michigan, she moved through life with infectious joy that touched all who knew her.
Lorraine was a student at Berthoud High School, where she met her future husband, Larry Kindred. Their high school romance blossomed into a lifelong partnership, marked by shared interest in sports and the outdoors. Lorraine's passion for nature was evident in her love for camping, hiking, and especially her joy in spotting wildflowers during her adventure.
Lorraine's life was filled with the joy of being outdoors, whether it was in the water fishing, camping, or simply spending time with her family. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent playing with her grandkids, as well as her great-nieces and nephews. Her home was always open, and her phone frequently buzzing with calls from friends and family, keeping her at the heart of a wide circle of loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Lance Kindred and his wife Karolyn, Chad Kindred and his wife Carrie; grandsons, Landon, Colton, and Cody Kindred; sister, Connies Simon and her husband Bob; brother, Lester Risner and his wife Paulette; longtime friend Sue Burlew; along with many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Grace Risner; in-laws, Gorgan and Evelyn Kindred; sister, Shirley Thayer; niece, Sherry Andrew; nephew, David Risner; and grandson, Levi Kindred.
Arrangements are currently pending and will be handled by Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO. Larraine's life and legacy will be celebrated by all who knew her, as they recall the warmth of her contagious smile and the brightness of her spirit.
