Lorraine Armstrong McLaughlin

Lorraine Armstrong Walsh McLaughlin, (nee Hawkins) wife of the late John H. McLaughlin, died peacefully March 22, 2026.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Nancy (Dennis) Armstrong Montes, Mary (Glen Lewis) Westcott, Colleen (John Quinney) Armstrong, Janice Armstrong, Robert Thomas (Carol Chupka) Armstrong, Elisabeth (Keith) Carpentier and William (Terry) Armstrong. She is also survived by the McLaughlin children: Terry (the late Mike) Norris, Sally (the late Will) Massengle, Anne (Werner) von Guionneau, Jack (Kim) McLaughlin, Tom(Marsha) McLaughlin, Peggy McLaughlin, and Maureen (Mark) Bradford, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A teacher and administrator in the Pontiac school district, Lorraine was involved in several clubs and organizations, some of which include, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Christ Child Society, Marygrove Alumnae, and MSU Alumnae. She was Past President of Alliance Francaise de Detroit, a volunteer at Lighthouse in Pontiac and a member of the Heathers Club of Bloomfield.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Son's Funeral Home , 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 mile Roads) Sunday, May 3, 2026, 2-5pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Hugo of the Hills, Stone Chapel, 2215 Opdyke Road, Bloomfield Hills, Monday May 4, 2026, at 10am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30 am.

A memorial luncheon will be held immediately following Mass at the Heathers Club of Bloomfield,
