Lorraine F. Ray. 84, passed away on October 11, 2024. She was born on March 27, 1940 to the late Vernon and Bibiane Brown. She was a faithful woman who served our Lord. She loved her family dearly and made Holidays very special.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling, and camping at her happy place, South Arms on Richardson Lake. She worked for many years at Bell Manufacturing Co, baking many birthday cakes for her co-workers over the years.
She was an amazing wife to her husband of 66 years Roland Ray. She was mom to her 4 children, son Randall and wife Linda Ray, daughters Rolande Dean, Kathleen Long, Joan Ray, Her grandchildren are Justin, Amanda, B.J., Katie and Chad. Her great grandchildren, Elaina, Lucas, Liam, Jaxon, MacKenzie, Mayla, Bryan, Jesse, Kiana, Isabella, Brynn, Madelyn and Alaina. Her great-great grandchildren Robert and Jaxon. Also her brothers George, Richard (Carol), and Ronald Brown. and sisters Joan Draper, Rita (Sonny) Stewart, and Anita (Wayne) Johnson as well as her sister-in-law, Laurie Brown. She has many nieces and nephews who were very special to her, along with her friends who were like family.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her infant daughter Marie, her son-in-law Brian Long, her grandchildren Brandy and Anthony, her father and mother-law Ralph and Grace Ray, her brother Daniel Brown, and brothers in-law Richard and Vern Ray and William Draper, her sisters-in-law, Lucille Brown and Sandy Brown.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 at 11:00AM at Valley Cemetery, Main Street in Greene, ME.
