Lorraine Rogers Ricker born November 24, 1938, in
Amesbury, Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by love and the legacy of a life beautifully lived on February 4, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of Joseph L. Rogers and Ethel Irene Pratt, and from the very beginning, she carried a warmth and strength that would define her entire life.
Lorraine was the kind of woman who made the world feel warmer simply by being in it. She lived a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments, and she was deeply loved by everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, she wore many titles and worked many jobs, each one reflecting her strength and determination. But the role she cherished most, and the one she mastered completely, was loving and caring for her family. To her, we were everything. We were her celebrities. Her eyes would light up the moment any one of us walked into the room, and in that instant, you knew you were seen, celebrated, and loved beyond measure.
She had a sharp mind and a competitive streak, especially when it came to board games. Sitting across the table from her meant you were up against a true legend. Her sense of humor was unmatched: quick-witted, playful, and perfectly timed. Laughter followed her wherever she went.
With the energy of a spring chicken and a heart always ready for adventure, she embraced life fully. She was always up for something new, never letting age define her spirit. Her presence was magnetic, and it's no surprise that she was loved by absolutely everyone she met.
Her legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love she planted so deeply in all of us. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are endlessly grateful for the time we had with her and the memories that will forever carry her spirit forward.
She is survived by her children Lorraine, Leona, Victor, Louise, Russell, and Roland; 15 grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy of her life. She is also survived by her sisters Emily, Emiline, and Beverly, along with numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph L. Rogers and Ethel Irene Pratt; her brothers Ronald and Leon; and her sisters Anita, Jackie, and Ethel.
Her legacy lives on in the Love she gave so freely the laughter she sparked, and in the generations she shaped. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond time.
