Lorraine Josephine Rose

1932 - 2023

Lorraine, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 90. Born in Chicago IL, Lorraine met her sweetheart William (Bill) in the 2nd grade and began dating at age 15. They married in April of 1953 and moved to California in 1956 where they began to raise a family. After working as a bank teller she made the decision to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her six children. She later ventured into real estate where she worked for many years. She and Bill later managed a self-storage facility in Roseville, and then upon retirement settled in Brentwood.Lorraine had a passion for reading. She had her very own library collection of all types of books and was always giving them away for others to appreciate. She enjoyed going to the movies on a weekly basis, Broadway shows and plays, and spending as much time as she could with her friends and family. She leaves behind six children, William Rose III (Mimi), Barry Rose (Vicki), Doreen Kleindienst (Mark), Brian Rose (Susan), Eileen Santos (Greg), Sharleen Fortuny (Juan), 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Lorraine's life on May 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Summerset II Clubhouse, 193 Summerset Drive, Brentwood, Ca. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice made in Lorraine's name would be a great honor.
