Lorraine E. Saviski

Lorraine Elizabeth Saviski, lovingly known as Lori to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 80, in Darien, IL. Born on April 6, 1945 (Chicago, IL), Lori's life was a testament to love, faith, and service, embodying the virtues that make a life both rich and meaningful.

Lori was the cherished wife of William Saviski, with their marriage spanning 58 years of shared dreams and partnership. She was a beloved mother to Laura (Mike) Stigge, Jennifer, and Bill (Jennifer) Saviski. She was an adored grandmother to Garrett, Olivia, Dusten, Madeline, Bradley, Juliana, Katie, Michael, and Teddy, each of them holding a special place in her heart. Lori's heart found its purest joy, imparting wisdom and laughter to her cherished grandchildren.

Lori was the daughter of the late Joseph Domark and the late Lorraine Rautis, and a caring sister to the late Dennis (late Linda) Domark and Richard (Marilyn) Domark.

For 25 years, Lori dedicated her life to shaping young minds as a kindergarten teacher (Gower West Elementary School). She poured her heart into her work, shaping the futures of countless lives through her patient teaching, caring demeanor and a love for learning.

Lori's life was a reflection of her deep faith and belief in love and kindness. She found comfort and fellowship in both her church community and in her bible study community, where she cultivated friendships and strengthened her spiritual journey. Lori's spirit was as lively on the tennis court as was her faith. An avid tennis player up to the age of 79, she demonstrated agility and a competitive spirit both on and off the courts.

Described by those who knew Lori best as kind, selfless, loving and faith-filled, she will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 S Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561 on Saturday, October 4th beginning at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parkinson's Foundation / Lustgarten Foundation / Hirshberg Foundation / American Cancer Society.
