Lorraine L. Slate-Hodge

Lorraine L. Slate-Hodge, 92, of Berkshire, New York, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, with her family by her side. Lorraine was born in Ithaca, New York to the late Earl and Blanche Jordan. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Davenport. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Hodge; five children and their spouses, Carol and Stephen Bailey, Raymond and Gee Slate, Joseph and Sandra Slate, Bruce and Beverly Slate, Eric and Wendy Slate; six step-children, Patricia, Brenda, Lori, Lisa, Patrick, Michael; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Jordan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lorraine was blessed with her special gift as an artist. She enjoyed spending countless hours in her home studio working on her creations and teaching others her craft. Over the years, she participated in countless art contests and was proud to take home a few awards over the years. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY, with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
