Lorraine E. Terletzky

Norwich – Lorraine E. Terletzky, 72, of Taftville, formerly of Plainfield beloved wife of Stephen B. Terletzky passed away July 25, 2022. She was born December 25, 1949 in New London a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Pollard) Welch and had lived in Plainfield for 33 years before moving to Taftville in 2018.
Lorraine was employed as a bus driver for the Town of Plainfield for 25 years. Lorraine loved Jesus and was a member of the Central Assembly of God church, involved in ladies ministries. She was also a life member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary. Lately she enjoyed visiting Avery Point with her husband Steve, enjoying the soothing sounds and sights of the Long Island Sound. Lorraine and Steve loved upper New England and took an annual trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire where they owned a time share. This trip was a highlight of their year. They also owned a Gullwing touring motorcycle and enjoyed long rides together. Lorraine loved bowling and was in a ladies bowling league for over six years at Friendlies Bowling Alley. She won many trophies and earned all kind of pins and patches.
Besides her husband she left 6 sons Richard (Patricia) Daugherty, Anthony Daugherty Jr., George Daugherty, Matthew Daugherty, Christopher Daugherty, and Joshua Terletzky; a brother George Welch, Jr.; 3 sisters Dorothy Morales, Ricarla Horsely and Elena Cooper, and 8 grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life, with military honors, on Tues Nov 1, 2022 at the Central Assembly of God Church at 2pm, located at 350 Putnam Road in Wauregan, CT. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home. www.doughertybrosfuneralhome.com
