Lorraine "Lori" Katherine Thomas, 84, of Concord, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 in Concord, NC.
Lori was born August 24, 1939 in White, North Dakota to the late William and Kunda Sauter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas (of 25 years), brothers, Edward Sauter, Bob Sauter, and Harold Sauter, and sisters, LaVerne Johnson, and Lilllian Schmidt.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, NC. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel. Burial will follow, the next day, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm, at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville. NC.
Survivors include daughter, Laureen Giles of Concord, NC, son, Roger Giles and wife Calista, son, Randy Giles and wife Schalane, son, Rodney Giles and wife Tina, grandchildren, David and wife Christina, Bryan, Eric and wife Madison, Corinne and husband Jacob, Faith, Eli, Chandler, and Skyler, great grandchildren, Michelle, and John.
