Lorraine White

Lorraine White, a retired cook, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the age of 81. She was a native of Foules, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Lorraine was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a member of Dominion and Power Ministries. Devoted mother of Anthony White, Sandra White, and the late Michael White and Beverly White McGowan. Loving grandmother of Courtney Davis, Anthony Brandon White, Assin White, and Angelle White. Daughter of the late Fred White and Arbunia Williams. Stepdaughter of the late Willie Williams. Beloved sister of Paul E. (Lisa) Nellums, Virginia N. Watts, and the late Willie Mae Bowman. Sister-in-law of the late Rev. Murphy Bowman and Reynard Watts. Also cherishing her memories are 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Dominion and Power Ministries, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th Street, Westwego, LA on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, host pastor; Bishop Tyrone Washington, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery - Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe, Gretna, LA.
