Lorri Lu (Powers) Clark, age 73 of Yankton, South Dakota passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Avera Majestic Bluffs Hospice House in Yankton.
A celebration of her life will be held together with her husband, Leland “Spud” Clark Jr., at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Mission Hill Cemetery in Mission Hill, SD following a luncheon at the Wintz & Ray Hospitality Center.
Lorri was born on August 25, 1952 to Estella (Reuer) and Rollin Powers in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Pukwana, SD and graduated from Chamberlain High School. After high school, Lorri attended Mount Marty College where she obtained her Medical Technologist Certification. She would then take a position at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital to which she would keep until she retired in 2018.
On September 11, 1974, Lorri and Spud were married at the justice of the peace in Yankton, SD. After they were wed, they moved to Gayville, SD where they lived for the majority of their years together and with their two daughters, Andrea and Shelley.
Lorri was known for her kind heart and smiling face. She had a love for beagles, online shopping from Kohls, baking and staying connected to friends and family near and far. She enjoyed traveling and taking in new views when she had the opportunity.
Lorri is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Bill) Maibaum of Yankton and Shelley Clark of Helena, MT; and granddaughter, Adelyn Maibaum of Yankton.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.
