Lorrie Atwood

Lorrie Lynn Wilson Atwood, 61, of Boyle County passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Born September 23, 1963, she was the daughter of Vyvyan Rice Wilson of Boyle County and the late Glen Wilson. Lorrie was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church. For the past few years, she has enjoyed attending Bible Studies there and spending time with her church family. She loved the ocean, beach, and collecting sand dollars. She also liked to read, shop with her granddaughter, and watch her grandsons play baseball. Lorrie was a UK Basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. In addition to her mother, Lorrie is survived by her daughter, Jessica Simpson of Stanford; son, Jared (Krista) Atwood of Versailles; sister, Rhonda Gilliam of Stanford; and grandchildren: Chloe Simpson, Declan Atwood, and Zander Atwood. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Dr. Choe Sergent officiating. Honorary pallbearers are her niece and nephews, Kris and Brittany Gilliam, Heather and Travis Cash, and Seth and Ally Gilliam.
