Lotte Meyer Obituary
Lotte is survived by her brother, Dieter (Carolyn); her niece and nephew, Susan and Robert; her grandchildren, Katherine and Michael; her great grandchild, Keegan; and her dear friend, Lorraine.
Lotte was born on May 20, 1926 in Altona, Germany to Ella and Peter Wittkowski. She married her husband Helmut in Hamburg, Germany on April 15, 1945. They welcomed their son Klaus (Marilyn) in 1946. Lotte and Helmut became U. S. Citizens in 1956 and lived in Bennington, Vermont.
Lotte balanced family, career and school. She progressed from working in drafting to become a design engineer.
Lotte enjoyed quilting, painting and outdoor activities. She loved helping family members explore activities that they were interested in.
No funeral or memorial service is planned immediately. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.

Sorry to hear about Lotte´s passing, she a very sweet lady. I remember her and Helmut from our Church, in Vermont. May she Rest In Peace Condolences to her family and friends.

Aunt Lotte was one of the most influential people in my life. I have countless memories of happy times spent with her and Uncle Helmut. She was extremely generous and kind, a fantastic cook, and she loved the mountains and the ocean. She had great talent for oil painting, knitting, and quilting. She would pack wonderful picnics and take us to Lake Shaftsbury or Lake Somerset in Vermont and also took us cross- country skiing near her home in Bennington. Aunt Lotte took time to teach me to paint as well. She loved to swim which was a lifelong activity for her, and I have many wonderful memories of our family renting houses on Cape Cod with her and Uncle Helmut.
When I was 15 she invited me to spend a week with her and treated me like a queen, and I will never forget our time together. It was so great to see her when our family visited Florida as her condo was downstairs from my parents' condo. She was a very strong and independent woman and always a great example to me. I'm going to miss her so much and am so privileged to be her niece.

Lotte was so sweet. She & Helmut were friends of my mom, Hannelore...I fondly remember the days at Redeemer Lutheran Church doing the Oktoberfest German dinners with them...I wish you peace Lotte
