Lou Courville Ayo, 86, of Lafayette, LA, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025 after a long illness. Lou was born in Lake Arthur, LA on April 18, 1939 to Colin and Verna Courville
Mrs. Lou devoted many years of her life to Jeff Davis Bank, where she proudly served as a manager. Through her hard work, leadership, and dedication to excellent service, she became a respected and valued member of the banking community. She loved and cherished her family and her memory will forever be carried on by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Helene) Ayo of Lafayette, LA and Jim (Suzanne) Ayo of Caddo Mills, TX; brothers, Clifford Courville and Rolan Fontenot; as well as her four grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Michael, and Katy; four great-grandchildren, Grayson, Bryce, Grant, Kennedy, and one more on the way.
Preceding Lou in death are her husband Jimmy; her parents, Colin and Verna Courville; a brother and several sisters.
Visitation for Mrs. Ayo will begin on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 9:30 am with a rosary at 12:45 pm in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held the same day in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:30 pm with Father Keith Pellerin Officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
