Lou Dayton, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on June 6, 1938, in Columbus, Indiana, to James and Martha Hardy, and was one of four children.

Lou spent her early years in Indiana before moving to Texas in 1989 to be closer to family. She worked faithfully for Spring Branch ISD for 24 years and was a committed member of Autumn Creek Baptist Church. Her life was deeply rooted in faith, service, and love for those around her.

Lou met her beloved spouse and together they built a life centered around family and faith. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren, especially during family gatherings where her warmth, joy, and gentle spirit were always present.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Hardy; her siblings, George Hardy, Vickie Harrold, and Carl Hardy; and her grandson, Darrell Russell.

Left to honor her memory are her children, Delila Dayton and Chris Dayton; her grandchildren, Teresa Crisp, David Riha, Tristan Russell, and Beth Riha; and her great-grandchildren, Cara Crisp, Kaitlyn Crisp, Christopher Russell, Cara Russell, Kiley Russell, Lobi Riha, and Tristan J. Russell (T.J.).

Lou will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and the memories she leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
