Louanna Barnes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 6, 2025.
Louanna Mae Barnes, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and comfort to every stranger she crossed paths with, she passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2025 at the age of 86, surrounded by the purest of love and holding the hands of those she was closest to.
Born on October 6, 1939 in the small town of Baird, TX, to father; Charles Preston Ault and mother; Lyndal Mae Irwin.
Louanna is proceeded in death by her husband of 66 years; Jimmy Dee Barnes, son; John Alan Barnes, five brothers; Charles Preston Jr, Cleveland Judson, Jackie Neal, Jimmy Lynnand Ronny Irwin. She is survived by her loving son; Mark Dee Barnes, Granddaughters; Samantha, Kayla and Hope, Great-Grandkids, Carter, Cassidy, Amayah, Aviana, Zaiden, Grayce and lastly, so many extended family and friends who she considered her own.
Louanna was a gentle, nurturing soul that showed extraordinary love to anyone blessed enough to have been in her presence. She never truly realized the profound impact her kindness had, even on those she just met. She unknowingly mended the hearts & souls of so many with her unmatched attentiveness, smile and laughter. Louanna never let life's struggles harden her. She was a woman of, dedication, faith & loved deeply with her entire being, her entire life, without conditions.
Louanna woke up every morning, choosing to be happy. She found such joy within the comfort and 4 walls of her own home she raised her family in. She filled her days with things she loved most, like her morning cup of coffee, watching her birds surround the back patio early in the morning, reading, cooking, and sewing. Her hands made beautiful things over the years that her loved ones will forever treasure. The simplest of things, brought her the most peace.
Louanna's family and friends brought her immeasurable joy, especially her children and grandchildren. She nurtured their dreams, reveled in their laughter, and taught us to embrace the chaos of this life on earth, for it's all a blessing. This beautiful, messy life is a blessing. She taught those she raised, the importance of patience, kindness and empathy, even for the undeserving. Though our hearts are broken and her absence is felt immensely, every moment she spent and every story she told, ensured that her legacy of compassion and unwavering love would continue on for generations.
