Louella Elmore Davis, 89 of Statesville, died Thursday, April 4, 2024, after an extended illness.
She was born in Rowan County on May 9, 1934, to the late William and Bessie Elmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Davis, a son, Greg Wilson, tow grandchildren, Jeff “Junior” Wilson, Angel Holt, two brothers, Clifford Elmore, William Elmore, and four sisters, Ruby Hinson, Nellie Terrell, Peggy Summers, and Alice Elmore.
Louella loved to cook and bake! She always enjoyed baking for family and friends during the holidays. Other hobbies include watching birds, especially hummingbirds, reading, and more than anything else, spending time with her family. Louelle was a simple lady in the smartest way.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Kerri Holt (Darren), a son, Jeff Wilson, and two grandchildren, Cody Wilson, and Hailey Holt.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
