LOUIS COXE Obituary

COXE, Louis Osborne Jr. Age 75, died, May 27, at home in South Boston, after a short illness. Born January 4, 1950 in Minneapolis to Edith Winsor and Louis Osborne Coxe, Lou grew up in Brunswick, Maine, an area he returned to for vacation each year. Lou graduated from St. Paul's School and then Princeton University in 1972, where he majored in English and worked for decades as a copyeditor for advertising agencies in Boston. A beloved brother and uncle, Lou was a kind, brilliant and hilariously funny guy who loved his family, giving generous gifts, seeking out rare whiskeys, listening to awful music and making people laugh as much as possible. Saddened by his passing are siblings, Robert Winsor Coxe (and Gro) of Kennesaw, Georgia and Helen Eyre Coxe (and David Lay) of Cumberland Center, Maine; four loving nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and nephews; he was predeceased by his brother, Charles Shearman Coxe of Brunswick, Maine. A Memorial will be held at a future date.
