Louis D'Antino Obituary
"Beloved husband, father, grandfather & brother"
Louis A. D'Antino, 73, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Carmody) D'Antino for 35 years.
Louis was born on June 13, 1952, in San Marco La Catola, Foggia, Italy, a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Colagrossi) D'Antino. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and attended Mattatuck Community College, Western CT State University and Central CT State University. Prior to his retirement, Louis worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Waterbury as a sorter and time keeper for over 35 years. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and St. Patrick's Church and Oratory. He enjoyed sports and music, particularly the piano. Most important was his love for his family and spending as much time as possible with them.
Besides his wife of Middlebury, Louis leaves his daughter, Gina Hansen and her husband, Kris of Waterbury, CT, stepson, Jason Bensavage and his wife, Veronica of Monroe, NC, sister, Phyllis Correia and her husband, Michael of Middlebury, CT, grandchildren, Mason and Aiden Hansen, Brianne, Jayla and Faith Bensavage, nieces and nephews, including, Michael Correia, Matthew (Jess) Correia, Monica (Chris) Erwin and Joseph (Marissa) Correia, as well as other nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many relatives in Italy.
Arrangements: Louis' funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT, to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Louis' memory to: American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
