Louis is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Louis moved on the afternoon of November 7th. Survived by children Jimmy (Karen)Ellis; Cindy Ellis (Troy) Larkin; five grandchildren Corbin (Christianna) Ellis, Jodi Larkin (Brett) Barrus, Corby Larkin, Brady Larkin, Kourtney Larkin (Brady) Beagley, great-grandchildren Beckham Barrus, Asher Barrus, Paityn Beagley, and Ivy Beagley,. He will be greatly missed. On the other side, Louis has been reunited with his wife Bertha, his three children Ray, Sherry, and Jerry who moved on before he did. I'm sure they greeted him warmly.
Louis was born to Delbert J Ellis, and Margorie Blood. in Pleasant Grove, Utah and grew up on a farm with an unruly batch of 3 brothers.
He served his country in both the army and the navy.
In 1957, he met and fell in love with Bertha Kay Brown and was married on May 3, 1957 and sealed in the Salt Lake temple on June 23, 1958. Bertha gave birth to their first son, Jimmy in January of 1958 and dedicated his life to supporting his family. Their daughter Sherry passed away from a kidney disease when she was 5. He and Bertha wanted another little girl and started the adoption process with LDS Social Services and ended up adopting Cindy on May 12, 1970.
Louis worked hard to provide for his family. Louis was active in the LDS church serving as a home teacher and served a mission in the food canary. Louis faced many challenges in his life. He was a husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 13th, at 11:00 AM in the Grovecreek 7th Ward Building, 942 North 500 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 AM at the same location prior to the service. The interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to attend an evening viewing that will be held Wednesday, November 12th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Olpin Family Mortuary; 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Services are under the care and direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

My Husband and I used to do temple sealings at the Mount Timpanogos Temple, he was always there every Thursday for years! Sometimes Bertha would come, until she got unable to walk much. Always a pleasure to see them! Louis and Bertha were very supportive of family events.
