Louis F. "Lou" Guidone

Louis Guidone was born on February 12, 1940, in Bayside, New York. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. A man of quiet strength and deep devotion, Lou built a life anchored in family, hard work, and tradition.

In May of 1973, he married Patricia. Together, they raised James (Andrea), Kathleen (Derek), and Marianne- first in Wantagh, New York and later in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where they made their lasting home in 1978.

Lou was a CPA by trade, known for his sharp mind and strong work ethic. But it was his role as husband, father, and grandfather that brought him the most pride. His heart was never fuller than when his kids or grandkids were nearby.

He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Kaylie, Claudia, Madeline, JP, and Louie, each of whom brought him endless joy.

A devoted Detroit sports fan, Lou rarely missed a game and loved rooting for his hometown teams- no matter the score. His loyalty ran deep, and his passion was contagious.

Lou's legacy is one of dedication, steadiness and deep love for the family he built and the lives he shaped.

A memorial mass will be Friday, February 27, 2026, 10:00 am at St. Hugo of the Hills, 2215 Opdyke Rd., Bloomfield Hills.
