Louis Dale Gwin, 83, of Haskell, Arkansas, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was born November 1, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to John L. Gwin and Pat Malone.
Dale was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was known as a hardworking man who built a life with his own hands, both as a business owner and contractor, and as someone who would constantly reach out to care for the people around him. Dale had a deep love for aviation, hunting, gunsmithing, and other handicrafts - always finding satisfaction in getting things done the right way.
Dale proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran from 1965 to 1968, with the 3rd 17th Air Cavalry "Silver Spurs." His service and sacrifice were a lasting part of who he was.
Above all, Dale's life was rooted in love, family, and faith. While we grieve his passing, we do so with hope and peace, trusting that he is now in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who went before him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosemary Gibbens Gwin; his sons, Joshua Gwin and Isaac Gwin; his grandchildren, Christian Gwin, Gibson Gwin, and Gabriel Gwin; and his sister, Patricia Lowery.
His hands built a lot in this world-but his greatest work was his family.
