Louis T. Kriskovich, age 88 of Ashland, WI passed away Tuesday, Aug 8, 2024 at Ashland Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ashland. Louie was born July 7, 1936 in Sanborn, WI the son of Louis and Catherine (Paladin) Kriskovich.
Louie lived and worked on the family farm with Jim and Zelda Butler in Sanborn for many years, driving tractor, plowing snow and mowing the lawn. After Jim's passing he and his sister Zelda moved to Grand View in 1996, where Louie continued to do these jobs. He enjoyed word puzzles, watching RFD TV, listening to classic country music and antique tractors. After his sister Zelda passed away, Marie became his care giver for over six years until he needed more medical specialized care.
Louie is survived by his immediate family, niece, Marie (Curt) Berweger; nephew, Jerry Butler; grand nephew, Cody Berweger; grand niece, Sammi (Bobby) Butler (Henry and Josie) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins plus extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Kriskovich; and sisters Mary Kargacin, Anne Campbell, Rose Johnson, Zelda Butler, and Olga Hicken.
A Memorial Service for Louie will take place at 11:00 am Tuesday, Sept 10, 2024 at the Mountain Funeral Home in Ashland with Deacon Clarence Campbell officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 Tuesday at the funeral home in Ashland and continue until the hour of service.
Interment will take place in Saint Agnes Cemetery in Ashland.
Because of Louie's love for antique tractors, memorials are preferred to Northern Aged Iron and may be dropped off the day of the funeral or mailed to, Marie Berweger, 21875 South Sweden Road, Grand View, WI. 54839.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
