Louis John Los was born on April 15, 1960, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to Wesley and Theresa (Vegter) Los. He passed away at his home in Milaca, Minnesota on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Louie is survived by his 3 daughters, Candi (Eric) Larson, Laura (Travis) Michaletz, and Kim (Frank) Los; brothers: Brad Los, Harvey (Barb) Los and Russell Los; sisters: Darlene (Dean) Mouw, Marilyn (Keith) Lemke and Tami (Alan) Olson; grandchildren, Samantha, John, Rowan, Trevor (Rachel) and great-grandchildren, Theodore and Thatcher.
Louie grew up in Southeast Wisconsin until 1972 when the family moved to central Minnesota. He graduated from Milaca High School and started his lifelong career of staining cabinets. Louie learned his craft working at Crystal Cabinets for many years before starting his own business of Whiskey Creek Woodworks. Louis also worked for Distinctive Cabinet Design for many years.
Louie was a kind and generous man who loved telling stories with a lot of humor mixed in. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors. He loved the beautiful property North of Milaca and all the wildlife. His place was the home base during deer hunting opener when everyone came rolling in the dark, early morning hours to walk out to their stands. Then he would be ready to hear all the hunting stories of everyone when they came back in. Sometimes with deer, sometimes not. He always wanted everyone to have a good time and successful hunt. Louie will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
We celebrate his life on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11 AM at Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Princeton. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
