Louis Maple, a man of great distinction, passed away on July 8, 2024, at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Born on August 25, 1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana; Louis led a life filled with valor, curiosity, and a deep love for his family.
His journey through life led him to serve in the prestigious U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant, specializing in the intricacies of Pershing Missiles and earning four Overseas Service Ribbons for his dedicated service. His commitment to his country was unwavering, marking him as a true patriot.
Beyond his military career, Louis harbored a passion for technology and innovation. Renowned for his love of gadgets, he found solace in disassembling and reassembling any machine that crossed his path. His ingenuity and skill knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on those around him.
In 2021, Louis bid farewell to his beloved wife Terese Maple; though physically apart now, their bond remains unbroken by the hands of time.
A Prayer Service will be held on July 12 at Golden Gate Funeral Home and Cremation in Fort Worth followed by a Funeral Service on July 13 at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Lancaster. The final act of laying him to rest will take place on July 17 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
