Louis Parente

Lincoln – Louis Parente, 83, of Breakneck Hill Road, died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Bernadetta C. "Betty" Parente. Mr. & Mrs. Parente had been married for sixty years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Luigi and Angelina (Macchiarelli) Parente, he had lived in Lincoln for the past thirty-two years.
Mr. Parente was a master plumber and master pipefitter for DelGrande Plumbing retiring in 1990.
Louis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and playing cards every Saturday at the Bouffard Council, Knights of Columbus. He was an accomplished carpenter and woodworker who could build and fix anything, and was always the first to lend a helping hand with a project. He served in the Rhode Island National Guard, and was a member of the Howard Lancaster Post #25, American Legion, Pawtucket.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lisa Cataldi of Providence, Rhonda Locurto, and her husband Chuck, of Lincoln, and Bernadette Hawkins of Smithfield; one son, Louis Parente, Jr., and his wife Shannon, of North Smithfield; one brother, Robert Parente of Johnston; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson. He was the brother of the late Carmino Parente.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home for calling hours on Wednesday, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m..
