Family Tribute
Louis Raymond Parker, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandpa, great-grandpa, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 93.
Lou, born in Detroit on September 5, 1932, lived a life of service, integrity, and love. He served honorably in the United States Air Force before dedicating his career to helping others as Fire Chief, Master Electrician, and Inspector for the city of Wyandotte. His hard work and commitment to his faith and community earned the respect of all who knew him.
Lou married the love of his life, Aileen, on October 15, 1960, with whom he had 62 wonderful years filled with laughter, love, faith, and adventure. Together they raised four children, building a home filled with love and lasting memories. Lou was preceded in death by his beloved wife Aileen, with whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Lou was a devout Catholic and was deeply involved in his church and community. He served faithfully as the Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus in both Lincoln Park and Wyandotte, living out his faith through service and generosity.
He and Aileen shared a passion for travel, taking numerous trips and exploring the world. Above all, Lou cherished his family the most. He was the kindest, sweetest, and most genuine soul, always quick with a smile, a helping hand, and a word of encouragement. He was the best husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa that anyone could ever ask for. His love and warmth will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
