Louis Petran

Louis Petran, 92, formerly of Linden Ave., Hellertown entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Jarcu Alex and Ethel (Zisko) Petran. He attended schools in Lower Saucon Township. Louis was employed at the former Reilly Oil Company, Bethlehem; New Jersey Zinc, Co., Freidensville and retired from Lenape Machine Company, Perkasie. A protestant, Louis enjoyed listening to church hymns. He also enjoyed listening to country music and polkas.

Survivors: Brother, Richard Petran and his wife Judy of Center Valley; sister, Rachel Hudock and her husband Francis of Lower Saucon Township; several nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his brother, John Petran.

Service: Graveside Service 2:00 PM Monday at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. Please record a memory at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

Louis's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Saucon Valley Manor for their caring, compassion and kindness shown to Louis throughout all the years. The attentiveness to Louis did not go unnoticed. Not only did the staff care for Louis but, they expressed kindness, compassion and concern to his family. It was above and beyond. All of the above made Louis's later years more meaningful despite his many health challenges. They became his extended family. Sincere gratitude is extended to Holisticare Hospice for their outstanding care, compassion and kindness shown to Louis and to the entire staff of St. Luke's Hospital for their wonderful care of Louis throughout all the years. The family is also eternally grateful to Dr. Samuel Giamber, St. Luke's Cardiology for all the years of care and concern he showed to Louis.
