I just read of your Dad's death last August as I was browsing for Petersburg news regarding the basketball results. I send you my deepest sympathy. He was a true friend to my parents and was always kind and thoughtful. I recall many days seeing him play and enjoying himself at the Country Club.
I hope you are well and please pass my regards to Charlie and all of your family.

While I have not met any of you, I did enjoy corresponding with Louis and his brother, Mitchell, over the years regarding our common ancestry. (Judge Richard Cabell Shell was first cousin to my great-grandfather.) It was clear that Louis thoroughly enjoyed researching his family, and I will miss sharing with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
