Louise Allen Obituary

Louise Allen, age 77, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019. She volunteered through American Red Cross, worked as a teacher assistant in Shields Middle School in Florida, was an avid seamstress, loved dancing and enjoyed playing a nickel or two in the slots. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Louise is preceded in death by her parents Armand and Irene Boucher. She is survived by her daughter, June Thompson; son, Paul (Julie) Austin; daughter, Elaine (Todd) Leva; grandchildren, Jessica Austin, Daniel Austin, David Austin, Jordon Austin; Gavin Austin, Maslin Leva, Katlin Leva; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Priscilla (Roger) Dorsett; and many extended Allen family members. A memorial service is planned for 10:00 am Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464, with Rev. Timothy Vreeman officiating. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Milly Maurits and her family for their wonderful care and friendship of mom.

I have always cherished all of the ceramic pieces that she made for me and the fun jewelry. I kept all of them and passed them on to my children and now my grand children. I have many fond memories of driving with my grandma to pick up June and Paul for visits, passing field after field of beautiful sunflowers. To this day, whenever I see a field of those bright yellow flowers, I think of those visits.

Dear Louise's family,
It has been our privilege and to our benefit to have known and loved Louise for these past years. We are so glad you shared her with us our lives are better because of it. We loved her! We'll miss her smile, her laugh, the long talks, her friendship to my Mom. She was always a joy to have around and a wonderful person we will miss her so much! Melinda Smallegan

So sorry for the loss of a wonderful friend. Since she moved in we were friends we went shopping and lunch all the time. On Sunday morning for way over a year while everyone else was in church we were having coffee and donuts. What fun times we had. Louise was funny had a sense of humor. I will miss our talks.
