Louise Craytor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Maple Shade on Dec. 21, 2023.
Louise "Jo" Craytor, a cherished resident of Medford, peacefully departed this life on December 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 77.
Born on May 17, 1946, Jo was the beloved daughter of Orton and Carmella Todd. Her life was a testament to compassion and dedication, as she devoted many years to serving as a Registered Nurse at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. Jo really loved helping people and was really proud of being a nurse. She loved the relationships she made over her career, often reminiscing about her days in nursing school and talking about friends she made along the way in both school and in her career. And of course, she loved helping people.
Jo found solace and joy in the embrace of her faith, regularly attending church services, and embodying the values of a strong and unwavering Christian.
What Jo loved most was spending time with her family. Whether it was going to out dinner or family vacations, she loved making memories with her family.
Jo is survived by her adoring children, Rebecca (Melvin)Rodriguez and Todd Craytor. She was a loving grandmother to Chase, Madison, and Grace, bringing joy and warmth to their lives. Louise's caring nature extended to her siblings, as she was the dear sister of Joyce Deerr (William) and William Todd (Ruby). Additionally, she will be fondly lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Jo is predeceased by her husband Sherwood Craytor, and sister-in-law's Sue Mack and Carol Spink.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church, located at 6 Poplar Ave, Maple Shade, NJ 08052. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with a memorial service to commence at 11:30 am. The interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park.
During this difficult time, let us come together to celebrate the life of Louise Craytor, sharing memories, and finding solace in the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
