Louise Filliater, 89, made her final journey to heaven Nov 22, 2025 surrounded by her family. She will be reuniting with her late husband, Carl who preceded her in 2015.
Louise was born Sept 30, 1936 in Helena, OH to Louis & Rita (Nieset) Dolweck. She was a 1954 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Carl, on August 3, 1957.
Louise's husband Carl raised rabbits. They spent many years having fun traveling to various states for rabbit shows. Louise had the opportunity for the past 25 years to work at Our Lady of the Pines. She loved working there and enjoyed the people who visited the Pines, especially the Deacons. Prior to the Pines, Louise also worked at Bethesda, Vanguard and Terra.
Louise is very proud of and loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed attending and supporting their various programs, sporting events and musical concerts.
Louise has a wonderful family. She is survived by her sister Marge (Ken) Hirt, brother Fred (Brenda) Dolweck. Children, Dennis (Dana) Filliater, Deborah (Chris) Herr, David (Cana) Filliater, Donna (Steve) Hoffman and Douglas (Mary) Filliater; grandchildren, Anthony (Leah), Amanda (Maresa), Meranda, Alexandra (Greg), Maddison (Spencer), Dylan (Brooke), Jayce and Julius; great-grandchildren, William, Andrew, Carter, Payton, Elaine and DJ.
Louise is proceeded in death by her husband Carl, parents Louis & Rita Dolweck, brothers Frank and Jim.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont from 4-8 p.m. with a Vigil being said at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 29th 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
