Louise E. (Kolb) Gardiner, (85), beloved wife of the late George F. Gardiner Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 30, 2025. Louise, a Quincy resident, lovingly known as Gramma and Gigi, was born August 2, 1939 in Medford, Massachusetts to William C. and Laura A. (Tobin) Kolb. She lived the rest of her life in Quincy. She was a 1958 graduate of North Quincy High School where she met her husband George F. Gardiner, Sr. She was married to her high school sweetheart for 61 years.
Louise was a homemaker until her youngest child started school. She then went to work for Sears as a teletypist until she retired in 1992. After her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her husband in Sarasota, Florida at her husband’s family home, as well as spending time in Texas, with her daughter, Judi, her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 children Judi E. Hosang, George F. Gardiner Jr. and his wife Terry Gardiner of Hanson, MA, Dawn E. Anagnos and her husband John Anagnos of Holbrook, MA, 7 grandchildren, Jake Hosang, Sarah (Hosang) Jordan, Andrew Hosang, Delaney Gardiner, Kaylee Anagnos, Austin (A.J.) Anagnos, and Nicholas Anagnos, two great grandchildren, Balen Hosang and Tucker Anagnos, her sister Helen Forest and her husband Al Forest, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents William C. and Laura A., sibling Beverly Abbott and son-in-law John Hosang.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. Quincy from 9am-11am. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 am at the funeral home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
