Louise Lewis Harris, 89, of Boydton, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2025. She is survived by her devoted sons, Harold Thomas Harris Jr. (Gail) and Michael Lewis Harris (Theresa); grandchildren, Elizabeth H. Baker (Scott); Michelle H. Lenhart (Zach); Christina H. Ko (Jay), and Timothy J. Harris (Calyn); and great-grandchildren, Paul and Jude Lenhart. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harold T. Harris; her daughter, Mary Gayle Harris; her parents, Christopher H. Lewis and Mary M. Lewis; and seven sisters: Dorothy L. Icenhour; Vernice L. Manning; Christine L. Bradsher; Mabel L. Condrey; Millie L. Wells; Gladys L. Foley; and Glynn L. Whitten. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Harris was beloved by all of her family, who will miss her forever. For decades she was a faithful member of Easters United Methodist Church, which she attended from her childhood. She was a 1954 graduate of Buckhorn High School, where she graduated first in her class. Her marriage to Harold T. Harris in 1954 lasted until his death in May 2024 and produced three children and countless wonderful memories from a life well lived. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Wood Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Interment will follow in Easters United Methodist Church Cemetery. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
