Mrs. Louise Cox Jackson

Louise Cox Jackson, 90, of Charlottesville, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born November 18, 1916, in Earlysville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Gaines Cox and Mattie Marshall Cox. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Earle Jackson and their son David; three sisters and one brother. Louise was a loving matriarch to her family and a devoted friend to many. Surviving her are one son, Douglas Jackson, Jr. and his wife Diane, of Clarke County; four daughters, Jeanette Weaver and her husband, Carl, Barbara Gillespie, Sondra Feagans and her husband, Bill of Louisa, and Judith Barlow and her husband, Bill, of Charlottesville; 19 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Louise was a founding member of Blue Ridge Shores Baptist Church in Louisa, Virginia. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in March upon the return of her pastor and friend, Reverend Don Reid.
