Louise B. Murray, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at The Birches at Newtown. Born on September 10, 1933, in Bergen County, New Jersey, Louise lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy, reaching the age of 92.
A proud graduate of the Tenafly school system, Louise pursued her passion for numbers and embarked on a career in corporate taxes after attending numerous accounting courses. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on those she worked with before she retired.
Among her passions, tennis held a special place in Louise's heart. She was an avid player who competed in three women's leagues across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her skill and determination led her to qualify for several National Master's Tournaments-a testament to her competitive spirit and love for the game.
Beyond her professional and athletic achievements, Louise's greatest joy came from her family. Her warmth and kindness were evident in the time she spent with her loved ones, often found on the floor playing with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters. Her family, including her husband Glenn, whom she met during mixed sports in Tenafly Commons, was the center of her world. Together, Louise and Glenn celebrated a remarkable marriage of over seven decades, welcoming three children: Virginia R. Kownurko (Nick), Glenn A. Murray (Deb), and Donald W. Murray (Andrea). She was also cherished by her four grandchildren-Kylene Nungesser (Ryan), Breana Clauss (Ryan), Gabriel Murray, and Kyle Murray (Leah)-and five great-granddaughters, McKenna, Palmer, Fiona, Delaney, and Winona.
Louise was a faithful member of Addisville Church, where she actively participated for many years, embodying a spirit of service and faith that inspired all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and William H. Bornand, Jr., Louise's legacy of love and dedication lives on through her surviving family and friends. In 1961, after Glenn's employment relocation, Louise and her family moved to Southampton where they lived for 60 years. In 2021, she and Glenn moved to Ann's Choice, where Glenn continues to reside.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 9 to 10:30 AM at Addisville Church, 945 Second Street Pike,
Richboro, PA 18954. The Eastern Star will conduct a dignified ritual in honor of Louise at 10:40AM. A service to commemorate her life and bring comfort to her family will follow at 11:00 AM, with inurnment being held at a future date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
