Louise Paré Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 20, 2026.
Louise Paré went to be with the Lord on February 19th, 2026 at StoryPoint Saline under the care of Corsocare Hospice.

Louise was born on November 26, 1952 to Alfred and Margaret (Hendron) Paré in Highland Park, Michigan. One of six siblings, she attended schools in Detroit and Redford. She came to the University of Michigan where she studied liberal arts. During her time at UofM she became part of the Word of God, a charismatic Christian community. This built on her foundation of an intentional life for Jesus. She built on it further by becoming a Consecrated Virgin for the Diocese of Lansing in 1992, an identity she carried for the rest of her life.

Fulfilling her vocation she worked for many years at Servant Publications, supporting its authors and evangelistic efforts. She led a number of retreats at the diocesan retreat centers in DeWitt and the Irish Hills. She was a Spiritual Director, and many benefitted from her wisdom and spiritual gifts.

She had a full life with wide-ranging interests. Among these were travelling [winter excursions to Siesta Key in Florida were a must]; and trips to England, France, and Italy. She was an ardent fan of the Michigan Wolverines as well as the Detroit Tigers. She used to watch Tigers games with her father anywhere they could find a big screen. She actively supported local artists and anyone selling Christmas decorations. Her annual tree trimming party was always packed.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Jim Malley and nephew Michael Malley. She is survived by her siblings Mary Alice Power (David); Suzanne Killeen (Kevin); Patricia Johnson (Mike); Mike (Ellen) Paré; Stephen Paré, and her nieces and nephews: Julie Knotek, Dan Power, Sean Killeen, Kate Goble, Chloe Harvel, and Grace Wilson. She so enjoyed her nieces and nephews and their children.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Monday, March 2nd from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. with Most Reverend Bishop Earl Boyea as Celebrant. Following the Mass, inurnment will be held in the St. Andrew Church Columbarium. Louise made her home with us many years ago, and later we worked together at Servant Publications. She was queen of the perfect witty comeback, and a joy to be with. Freed now from her health problems, surely she is smiling as she is welcomed Home.

Louise and a group of Ladies were in a Cathecism group at Spiritus
Sanctus School at Golfside location. She used to attend Mass often.
Later on after many years and the school closed, we ran into each other at
St. John's after Mass. She said she was a spiritual director and so The Lord provided her for me. Louise used to say, "Let pray and ask The Holy Spirit to come join us...otherwise, we can just go home." She was such a Blessing -esplly with The Tabernacle of Jesus in her home!!! She will be praying for us.

I worked with Louise at Servant Publications for five years and she was always one of my favorite people. Her joy and humor were outstanding, and I was blessed to know her. May she rest in the arms of Christ.

Dear Louise. She was a roommate and friend. She taught me about praying, "LORD, I want to want to ____. Please help me." We went "camping" together one time, three woman staying in a little-used cabin in the woods, mid-State. Louise sat right down soon after we arrived and began reading peacefully while I fussed and tidied up. She finally said, kindly, "Joan. Stop cleaning. We´re supposed to be relaxing." We had a good laugh about our different approaches to time off work.

Louise was a wonderful roommate years ago: holy and FUN! Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
