Louise L. Sarcione, 94, of
Bridgewater, Massachusetts, entered peacefully into eternal life on September 24, 2023, after a short illness.
Born September 10, 1929, in Bridgewater, she is preceded in death by her parents Luigi and Loretta Sarcione, her brother Robert L. Sarcione, and her sister Helen (Sarcione) Beck. She was also preceded in death by her niece Joyce (Sarcione) Collette but is survived by her remaining nieces and nephews Michael Sarcione, Helen Helm, Diane Beck, Steven Sarcione, David Beck, Joan Beck, Thomas Sarcione, and Matthew Sarcione. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, four great-great nephews, and many family members and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.
A lifelong resident of Bridgewater until shortly before her death, she worked for several organizations throughout her life, primarily at Mainco Trading Company in
Canton, MA, then finishing her career with the John E. Lucy (Walkover) Shoe Company of Bridgewater.
A graduate of Bridgewater High School, Louise loved to travel and enjoyed socializing with friends and family at various dances and nightclubs throughout the area for a good part of her life. She was an avid Candlepin bowler, belonging to local leagues for well over five decades and participating in the sport into her early eighties. She was also a passionate Red Sox fan who was so happy to have seen her beloved BoSox win four World Championships during her lifetime. A communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Bridgewater, she enjoyed singing in the parish choir in her younger years.
The family would like to express its heartfelt and deepest gratitude to Kathy (Randall) Carpenito and her husband Bill for the devoted care they gave Louise during the last several years of her life, providing companionship and meals always with healthy doses of love and affection. We would also like to recognize and thank Laura Spadea, Louise's lifelong friend, for all her love and devotion.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater on Thursday, September 28, between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 29, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center Street, Bridgewater, with interment to follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
