Louise Taylor was born in Decherd Tennessee to the late Thomas Johnson and Lovail Hannah Jane Brown (Johnson) on December 31, 1934. Louise was one of 12 children, 10 preceded her in death: five brothers and five sisters.
Louise, Married Hosea Taylor. They enjoyed doing many things together. They spent time in their flower and vegetable gardens. Louise could freeze and cook many meals from the vegetables. Louise and Hosea were an example of a loving and caring couple. They had four children in their marriage. They lived in
Winchester, Tennessee and Sewanee, Tennessee. Louise and Hosea were married 75 years. They had nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, spending time with them brought Louise much joy. Louise attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Winchester Tennessee. Louise was also part of a large spiritual family. Attending conventions and congregations gave her the opportunity to make many friends. Louise enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. She loved people and shared the things she learned from the Bible. The field ministry was very important to Louise, for many years she did it full-time. Using the Bible, she gave others hope for the future. She talked a lot about God's kingdom making things better on the earth.
Louise was a professional cook. She was a chef at Jim's Oliver Smoke House in Monteagle, TN. She cooked at Hundred Oaks Castle, and the Holiday Inn Restaurant in Monteagle, TN. Louise specializes in southern Country comfort food, homemade uniqueness she did well! Louise was a person with many skills. Louise had both business experience, cooking expertise, and organizational skills to the MAX. An employer once said, " Louise can do more in a day than most folk can do in two, and very good at multitasking." Her recipes were featured in the Hundred Oaks Castle cookbook.
Hospitable, that defines Louise in the way she looks for opportunities to express kindness, generosity, and love to others. Louise took the initiative to offer her time, food, money, and home. Louise loved cooking for family and friends. Unexpected guests were no problem; she will have a meal on the table in no time. Louise encouraged others with her positive words using the principle of the Bible to guide her.
Louise leaves to cherish her memories (husband) Hosea Nelson Taylor, beloved sister Carolyn (James Deberry) (3) daughters: Barbara (Willie Perry), Dale ( Mark Upshaw), Pamela (Mike Hasting) (1) son Tony (Kelen Taylor). Her grandchildren. Great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives, and many spiritual brothers and sisters.
Louise will be missed by all who knew and loved her. They will remember her smile, and how she made them feel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the chapel. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home 300 1st Ave NW,
