Louise K. (Kelley) Viola, 87, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Born and raised in Bangor, ME, she was educated in Bangor and was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor. In 1957, she married Robert F. Viola, of Bangor, and together they shared over 64 years of marriage and together raised their 3 beloved children. They moved to Stoughton over 60 years ago. Louise was a dedicated homemaker and mother. While raising her family, she worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Stoughton Junior High School for several years. Later, she worked as a Receptionist and Secretary for Dr. James Tyer in Stoughton for over 20 years, retiring several years ago. Louise was a longtime communicant of the Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Stoughton where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was an active member of the parish, the Women’s Guild and the annual Variety Show. Louise enjoyed spending time at her home and hosting her friends, family and neighbors. Her happiest memories were when she was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.
Louise is survived by her children, Kathryn L. Viola of NYC, Robert F. Viola, Jr. and his wife Lynda of SC and Timothy J. Viola and his wife Kate of MD. She was the grandmother of Kevin, Michael, James, Grace and Andrew Viola and the sister of the late James Kelley and Margaret Reynolds. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38025 or at www.stjude.org.
