To the Louise Wood family. She served so faithfully in the Oconee Bible Study group. She was a co leader of a small group and she serve with passion and grace. We miss her beautiful smile and it is hard to believe she was carried to Heaven almost three years ago. God Bless the family as you cherish her memory. Donald Harper

Jim & Family,
It was a blessing to have known Lou back in our Pendleton 1st Baptist days. Choir, Sunday School, and especially the times praying together. She was a sweet friend & inspiration. A faithful follower of our Lord in song and in service throughout her life.
Praying you at this time,
Ruth Nodine

Jim and family,
We are heartbroken over the loss of someone who regularly brightened every Monday night for us on the way to Greenville Chorale Rehearsals over the years. What a wonderful woman who had such a huge heart and gift for caring and encouragement. We will miss her greatly. You will certainly be in our prayers.

I had the honor of working with Lou through the programs we offered through the Clemson University Institute for Engaged Aging. She was an inspirational role model for me professionally and personally. I distinctly remember her description of the "grandmother camps" she would plan for her grandchildren. How lucky they were to have such a world class grandmother! Everyone who knew Lou or the many who were impacted by her many acts of service have benefitted as she made the world a better place. I know she is now basking in the love of Jesus who she served so faithfully.
Blessings to Lou's family who will miss her tremendously,
Cheryl Dye

Dear Becca, my parents shared the sad news today with me. I still remember your mother's sweet voice on the many, many times she took care of us during playdates at your house with love, snacks and music. While we have not seen each other in many years, I still think of your family often and am sending you much love and peace for the loss of a great mother. I am thankful she was part of my life. Love, Anja (Eisiminger) Fraiser

Lou Wood, as her friends called her at Oconee Bible Study ... was a beautiful, devoted woman of God for the many years she served in our teaching ministry. She was a servant leader that ALWAYS shared the smile that is in this obituary. That smile exemplified her life, day in and day out. We will truly miss her fellowship, but we are thankful for the many years God gifted her to Oconee Bible Study.
