Your mother and father were my long time neighbors, and some of the sweetiest people I know. I will miss not seeing her wave to me as I pass by or chit-chatting with her when she was out in the yard.

When my mom told me of Mrs. Lou passing it was really heart breaking for me, because she was like a second mom to me when eric and I were little. I will miss her dearly. And god-brother, I am here, if you need to talk and share our wonderful memories of your mom. I love you all. Kesha

To Janet, Barbara and Eric, and other family members;

I was surprised and saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Longshore. She held a special place in my heart since I was a kid. She was not only a dear friend to my grandmother for many years but my favorite dessert maker as you may remember. It is people like her that touch your life in many different ways. As I think of her, I remember her laughter, her excellent cooking skills and her warm and embracing smile. Your loss is felt by many, but know that her spirit lives within each of your hearts. You have been blessed with a gift from God to have a loving caring mother like her.

Please accept my deepest condolences and my prayers are with you during this difficult time. As the days pass, the phone calls stop coming and the cards are put away know that God is always there in prayer to comfort you.

Mrs. Longshore was one of the first friends I made when I joined First Independent Methodist Church almost 30 years ago.

We had so much fun singing in the Senior Choir together and she made "The World's Best" Sweet Potato Pie.

Pastor Tony and I are praying that God will comfort her Family in this time of great loss.
