Lovice Brady Beard, Jr., 73 of Monterey, LA was born on Tuesday, September 30, 1952 in Natchez, MS and passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his home.
Lovice Beard lived simply and fully, a devoted country man whose steady hands and steady heart guided him through life. For forty years he kept the rails safe as a beloved railroad conductor, meeting dawns and dusks with calm competence. He loved the quiet rhythms of the outdoors and found joy in hunting, stories shared by the fire, and the comfort of familiar fields. Lovice's warmth, gentle wit, and unwavering loyalty touched family, and friends. We mourn a kind soul whose presence steadied us; may his memory ride the long, peaceful line into forever and rest in peace.
He is reunited with his parents, Lovice Brady Beard, Sr. and Ida Ruth Cater Beard; daughter, Audrey Farran Beard.
Those left behind to cherish Lovice's memories are his son, Lovice Brady Beard, III and wife Melissa of Grosse Tete, LA; daughters, Nikki Beard Dale and husband Brian of Lafayette, LA and Jessica Alexis Beard of Natchez, MS; son, Samuel Orrin Beard of Jonesville, LA; brother, Uel Beard, Sr. & his wife Gina; 10 granchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
